Dennis, though born in Nebraska, spent most of his growing up years in the land of the cheese (Go pack!). Sports was huge in his life for many years (playing basketball and football through college)… but it never gave the joy and fulfillment he was looking for. He sought further for satisfaction in other pursuits but all were mirages. Then God’s Spirit gave him life, opened up His Word to him, through the gospel of Jesus Christ, giving endless hope and peace (paraphrased from a favorite song, O Great God). Now his great passion is to share this glorious gospel with others. Dennis and his wife, Betsy, along with his children Gabbi and Nathan, moved to Janesville the summer of 2011. They came from Louisville, Ky. where Dennis studied at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. If you were to stop by the Anderson’s, you might find him playing basketball with the kids, doing some yard work, off to go biking with his neighbor, or reading Ian Murray’s 2 volume biography of Martyn Lloyd-Jones (the latest book he’s loving).
Gary has lived in the Southern Wisconsin area his entire life. He’s married to Sue, has two daughters (Wendy and Jen) and two granddaughters (Ashley and Kenzie). He’s an outdoorsman at heart, enjoying hunting, fishing, trapping, “shrooming”, etc. He came to faith in Christ in 1974 for which he is eternally grateful! He has served as Associate Pastor at Grace since 2001 and among other things is primarily involved with the jail ministry, visitation and small groups.
